Calling all SLPs

We are currently looking for school contractors!

What does it mean to be a subcontractor?

Never contracted before? This is a great place to start! Being a subcontractor with Speech with Ease LLC means you have control of your schedule/hours - you work when you want to, and you don't work when you don't want to! The only downfall to this is, you are only paid for the time you are working. You will be a 1099 independent contractor. You are essentially self-empolyed. That means unfortunately, you cannot be offered PTO or benefits, but you will make a higher hourly rate! MUCH higher! You will also be responsible for paying your own taxes. This is typically about 30% of your income give or take, but we highly recommend discussing this with your CPA. Many of our contracts have guaranteed hours. Meaning, if your students are absent, you will still get paid your guaranteed full time hours. We strive to find contracts which pay the same rate for both direct AND indirect time. Meaning you get paid the same amount for direct treatment time, evals, IEP meetings, Screenings, and paperwork time! While working as a 1099 contractor means you don't get the added benefits of working directly with a district, it also means you have the potential to double your salary! When I went from working a W-2 position year-round to working a 180-day school year, I nearly doubled my salary!
